Communication between the basket and the operator must be constant.

Why It Matters:

Miscommunication leads to unexpected or unsafe basket movements — especially in tight or elevated areas where visibility is limited.

Key Points:

• Use radios or pre-agreed hand signals — never assume the operator can hear or see you.
• Review and agree on all signals before the lift begins.
• If any message is unclear or communication is lost, the operator must stop the lift immediately.

✅ Talk it out before going up.

Ask the Crew:

• Do we have working radios or a signal plan in place?
• What’s our agreed stop or emergency signal?
